Fontana's Half Marathon Run is known as the fastest Half Marathon due to the gradual downward slope of the course as well as one of the oldest Half Marathons in the United States. There is an elevated drop of 2,125 feet from start to finish and because of this, most participants are able to record their personal record time (PR) in Fontana. Please note: Participants must maintain a 13-minute mile and/or pass the 15 freeway by 9:15 a.m. and the finish line by 11 a.m.

PBR or Precision Bolt Rifle is a great match for any rifle shooter. Match director Aaron Giffords runs the match to accommodate almost any kind of center-fire rifle with a scope. While this sport is best enjoyed using bolt action rifles with a heavy barrel and detachable magazine system, a hunting rifle with decent optics can be competitive at the short ranges of WEGC and is a good way to test yourself. Semi-autos are allowed, such as the AR-15 Type Platform with optics, M1A Rifle with optics etc.
